My wife and I started in the raising of chickens as a project for 4-H Club for our grandchildren.  The first chicks we purchased came from a hatchery and we raised 8 out of 26.  Went to LSU and all 8 were disqualified as not meeting standards of the breed.  The Judge recommended we find a breeder and buy birds from him.

We now raise 6 different breeds of bantams, Gold and Silver Sebrights, Dark Brahma, Nankin, Black Dutch, and Serama.  All came from private breeders.  The sebrights came from Georgia, Dark Brahma from Texas, Nankins from Alabama, Black Dutch from Florida, and Serama from Louisiana.

We have a few extra chicks from this year hatching that are for sale.  At this time, there are no Sebrights or Seramas for sale.  We do not ship.

5 Dark Brahma Roosters hatched 3/17/2012: $10.00 per bird

3 Black Dutch Pullets hatched 2/25/2012: $15.00 per bird

Single Comb Nankins hatched 2/25/2012: Trio - 2 Pullets and 1 Rooster $30.00 (for the trio)
